Although we are a Paris cheap hotel reservation website, we are more importantly a complete travel site that enables you to reserve hotels in almost all cities of the world. It is well worth noting some of the terrific cities in the world that offer all around great travel value.
A vacation can be a good method to escape from the day-to-day sameness of normal existence and can be a true breath of fresh air virtually any time of year. Many people have the misunderstanding, however, that getting away to another city for a day or two is simply too costly and unreasonable. The truth is, it is completely possible to enjoy an low cost city vacation - the technique is picking a value location where you won't have to hurt your pocket book. We've picked five of the most excellent European cities where you can get away from it all while not going broke.

If you want to go to Paris on a budget, the very first thing you will have to consider will be your airfare. Your accommodations will come next and then food, transport within the city and other miscellaneous costs follow.
Paris is one of the oldest and classiest cities in all of Europe and is usually one of the top choices for any traveler going to Europe.
There are two large airports that primarily serve Europe. One is Charles de Gaulle (CDG) and the other is Orly (ORY). The Charles de Gaulle airport primarily deals with International travel while Ory handles domestic. The two airports see over 70 million passengers annually.
When I visited Paris recently, I flew into Heathrow London and then took the Eurostar over to Paris. I have heard of others doing the same flying into Amsterdam as well.
Another trick I use is to search about five to six weeks in advance and then search flexibly by month. You can then choose your dates from within that.

Ok, so I recently published an article on why Paris was best in summer. I maintain that it is, but I will give you a case for Winter as well.
Some would argue that Paris is just as good in winter (or all year round for that matter) because of the holiday atmosphere.
The galleries and museums (the Louvre, the Grand Palais, the Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame Cathedral, etc.) are all indoors and are just as amazing any time of the year. They certainly don't close when it's cold!
A major plus which I actually noted in my original article is that everything is cheaper in the autumn and winter. Flights and hotels are still busy, but not as busy so you can get much better deals. Even the Ferry prices as well as some of the museum prices go down in the winter months. Getting cheap hotels in Paris certainly helps make things feel a little warmer.

There is a song, "I love Paris in the springtime" by Cole Porter. While he may for a variety of reasons, I would have to argue that the best month (especially for a first time tourist) would be in summer. No offense to Mr. Porter.
Don't get me wrong. Paris, any month, beats the socks of most cities on their finest days. It's my favorite city in the world. I am just saying, if you had to pick a month for your first time, and you were a fair weather tourist, the summer might be a better bet.
Or you could love the great discounts that come with off tourist seasons. I know that has been a big draw for me to going in the winter. I love finding cheap hotels in Paris and even cheaper flights.

You should enjoy the awesome night view of Paris by taking a night tour. Set against the backdrop of well lit skyscrapers, Paris has so much more that you won't be able to forget. Its multi-ethnic history makes it one of the most vibrant cultural centers in the world. A night out here is amazingly memorable.
Some hot destinations can be found on these streets: Bastille, Oberkampf and Faubourg St.-Honor. These are places where you will find amazing music venues, theaters and drive-in cafes. Marais is yet another, not-to-be forgotten, historic and dynamic night spot. The environment here is completely chic and lively. Belleville, as mentioned earlier is one more added to the list.
When you plan your trip and want your Paris cheap hotel, it should be well chosen so you don't spend too much time getting to your destinations. Remember, there is much to see in Paris and every minute counts. Find a hotel close to the majority of the places you want to see.
