A trip to Disneyland Paris is a dream for most of us (young and old alike). I will always remember the happiness on my children's faces when they first entered this park and saw all their favorite character. We truly had a magical holiday.
I always find it a challenge and love thinking up new ways of finding savings as this can add to the fun of a trip. So is Disneyland Paris truly affordable or is it out of most visitors’ price ranges? If you take the time to plan and research all of your options, you will be able to have huge savings but you will need to remember that this is a special location and as such you will have to pay a premium.
Hotels near the park are generally not Paris’ cheap hotels, but there are still deals to be found on them.
One of the cheapest ways to go is to find deals online. You will also find that the offers are limited so the earlier you book the more choice you will have over hotels, etc.
I would suggest you also do a little research if you are planning to tie in your visit to Disney with a holiday in other parts of France. Buying tickets in advance usually works out cheaper than at the gate. Rail companies and other travel providers often have special deals. For example, if you cross with the Eurotunnel, you can get a free day hopper pass and 15% off additional tickets which is a huge savings, especially if there are several of you all traveling together.
Look at each aspect of you trip if you are not staying on site as then you don't want any nasty surprises when you are there. The main things to consider are;
* Travel * Accommodation * Entrance Passes * Food and Drink * Car Parking * Any souvenirs you may want to buy
All of the above can work out to be quite pricey but savings can be made on all of the above with some careful planning. For example, staying in an offsite apartment is often much cheaper than the onsite hotels. Car Parking works out to €12.00 per day so it may be better to use a shuttle service from your hotel if one is provided.
Disneyland Paris is a great experience I recommend for everyone. Your kids certainly will never forget it, so if you can fit it into your travel budget, you should make the effort to go!
